Boston Scientific is a major medical device manufacturer that specializes in minimally invasive devices, such as catheters.
They have over 25,000 employees in 14 plants around the world. Matrix is used in a high workload environment to track and report on R&D sterilization requests from scientists at a number of facilities connected by the company intranet.

- At Boston Scientific the challenges were met and the Technical Services Group found being able to register a sample on the web and then to be able to view the progress of that sample at their work station to be very beneficial.
The Sterilization Technical Services group based in Maple Grove, MN supports new product development for sites that are using ethylene oxide to sterilize products and packages. They use Matrix LIMS to track and report on R&D sterilization requests from scientists at any of their facilities.
